Itinerary

DAY01: LIMA
International flight arrangements to Lima. Some may arrive late evening and we will provide transfer to hotel and accommodations in 3-star hotel. Others may arrive 5-6A next morning. We will meet them at the airport and assistance meeting up with everyone else for flight to Cusco DAY02.

DAY02: LIMA-CUSCO
Morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco (for those at Lima hotel). Reception at the Cusco airport and transfer to Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley (about 1-hour ride). On route visit with guide to the Textile Center owned by Nilda Callañaupa: demonstration of the process of making an Andean textile. Buffet lunch at the Pakaritampu Restaurant. Tour of the Ollantaytambo fortress/museum. Overnight at Pakaritampu Hotel in Ollantaytambo.

DAY03: SACRED VALLEY-MACHU PICCHU
A choice to either hike one-day on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu or go by train to Aguas Calientes:

6-hour walk with English-speaking guide on the last part of the Inca
Trail to Machu Picchu (relatively easy hike). Enter Machu Picchu through the Sun Gate. (luggage is sent by train to Aguas Calientes hotel).

Vistadome Valley train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu).
Day at leisure in Aguas Calientes (hot springs local markets, short hike
to waterfall). Everyone meets up at hotel at end of day. Dinner at the el Mapi Hotel. Overnight El Mapi Hotel.

DAY04: MACHU PICCHU
Early morning sunrise visit to Machu Picchu ruins with your guides (shuttle bus up to ruins).
Buffet lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge next to Machu Picchu (lunch starts
at 1230P)
Afternoon time on your own to leisurely explore.
Late afternoon train to Ollantaytambo and bus transfer to Paz y Luz.

DAY05: PAZ Y LUZ
Day for yoga and mediation.
MUNAY-KI ENERGY TRANSMISSIONS
Diane will give you 3 initiation rites from the Munay-Ki: the Healer Rite, the Seer Rite and the Bands of Power. The Munay-Ki Rites are given as the next step in the evolution of humanity, to realign and attune your frequencies and truly shift human consciousness.

DAY06: PAZ Y LUZ
Morning yoga.
Day visit to the Pisac Indian market were Indians come from the
surrounding valley to sell their wares. By vehicle or on a short hike to the Pisac Ruins (hike rated moderate,
about 90-minutes each way). Pisac ruins: a mountaintop complex of overlooks and a main temple area.
It is known for its small, polished stones that fit perfectly together. In the main ruins, which are reached by a two-hour, uphill hike, you will find temples of the sun, moon, rain, rainbow, and stars, as well as a few Inca crosses rising from the ground. The cross represents the different levels of existence: The lower level signifies the underworld, and snake god; the higher level, human existence, represented by the jaguar or puma god; and the highest level, the celestial plane, represented by the condor.

DAY07: PAZ Y LUZ
Optional activity to:
Moray and Maras
Visit the mountain town of Moray and the Maras salt pans. Moray, withit’s circular terracing, is thought to have been an Incan agricultural research station where wild plants and vegetables were modified for consumption. The terraced Maras salt pans, where salty water evaporates and leaves its minerals behind, have been worked continuously since Incan times.

Rafting Expedition
A fun day out on a beautiful section of the Urubamba river for anyone looking for an alternative adventure. Rafting is a fun sport, suitable for pretty much any one- no experience is needed to take part in a great day out. The section that is usually run is the class 3 – 4 Chuquicahauna section, above Cusco where the river is cleaner and more exciting. The river starts gently with time to practice the maneuvers required, then builds up with a number of rapids through a beautiful canyon with views of the surrounding peaks. After approximately two hours of rafting the take out point is reached and a full picnic lunch is enjoyed before returning to Paz y Luz.

DAY08: CUSCO
Morning tour to local ruins sites surrounding Cusco:
Sacsayhuaman fortress, whose giant boulders are placed to resemble a jaguar with an open mouth. Visit the amphitheater of Qenko and its underground stone altar that still receives offerings from local people, and enjoy the fountains at the water shrine of Tambo Machay, which have flowed since Incan times. Lunch in Cusco at Inca Grill. Afternoon city tour of Cusco including Koricancha, the Temple of the Sun, and the Spanish colonial Cathedral on the Plaza de Armas. Farewell Cusco dinner at Green’s Restaurant
Overnight 3-star hotel in Cusco

DAY09: CUSCO-LIMA
Morning free for shopping/city sightseeing. Afternoon transfer to the airport for flight to Lima. Connect international (B)

This includes hotel/Paz y Luz accommodations, activities with
English-speaking private guides, transfers in private bus, meals as
mentioned in the schedule DAY01-DAY09.
International and domestic flights are not included.

Optional activities:
DAY03 Inca Trail hike (instead of train), add 140 USD per person.
DAY07 excursion to Moray and Maras, add 58 USD per person.
OR, DAY07 River Rafting, add 155 USD per person.
